I don't know anybody who thought it would be. Although I do try and avoid most other online channels.
I think it's fair to say a lot of posters on here have been getting carried away.

Steve Hale
- Thought Critchlow was MoM
- Liked KKH. More he gets in position then the better he will get. The fact he got there is great
- Hale starting at Coventry academy on Monday morning
- Thought Iandolo did well

Simpson's perfomance worried me a bit. Rarely showed for the ball and was often found on the edge of the box somewhere when we were in a position to cross the ball.

Few good performances out there though. Still incredibly early to judge but naturally disappointed about the result.

Garner:
- First half we should have done better. Their style more than ours
- Second half good performance.
- Created chances, but made wrong decisions
- Passed ball better. Looked more organised
- KKH was excellent. Disappointed he got red
- Skill, pace and decision making was good.
- Iandolo was good when he came on
- Need to work on the final bit
- Cant have teams coming here and playing their game rather than ours
- They played with high energy and pressed hard. Disrupted the game and slowed the tempo.
- We picked the wrong passes in the first half. Better and dominated in the second
- Set piece was well worked
- Delighted Critchlow got off the mark. Thought he played well
- Teams are very good off set pieces in this league. Need to improve t hose areas of the game
- First goal. Two or 3 mistakes before it, but we should have defended better.
- The other was a wonderful strike.
- We dont want to lose games.
- We know we are short in a couple of areas. We would have liked to change things off the bench
- If we had Williams in time we would have had another weapon
- Two Bens worked hard to bring Williams in. He could have gone overseas for more money
- He just wants to play. Only 27. A long way to go in his career. Wants to play in a style and position that suits him
- Williams had fitness test today. Trying to build him although had a good start from the Euros
- Looking at data and very diligent with fitness
- Need to add in forward areas
- Simpson will only get better. He's tried hard. Once he gets his first goal that will boost him. But we need help for him
- We want goals as a team and not from one single position
- There were 5-6 good chances from different players today
- Occasion good. Shame we couldnt give them what we wanted. Crowd stuck with us. Lots of positives to build on.

Disappointing result but other than that enjoyed every bloody minute of it. Have missed being at a full County Ground and it was great to see so many fans turn up. Only gripe is couldn’t hear anything out of the PA system in the DRS.

Early days and came up against a savvy league 2 team who were much better than Scunthorpe. Let's hope we've got a couple of forwards lined up as we're definitely lightweight up front and as already stated so nice to see the fans back in numbers.

Just got back. Obv disappointing; but we finished the stronger and Carlisle hanging on at the end. Thought Payne had a decent first half and showed for the ball and passed it well; but faded in the 2nd. McKirdy very showy, end product often lacking but played a couple of great through balls in 2nd half. KKH clearly a talent and our most potent attacking threat; 100% dive though; refs are known to be looking to give yellows for that this season. Reed and Gladwin poor I thought. Carlisle looked a decent L2 side to me. Onwards and upwards; judge after 10 games when the team has gelled. In other news; does anyone local know if the speed cameras on Queens Drive are working?

Think Wiltshire is the only county in the country where there are no speed cameras turned on isn’t it?

Great day out. Not been to Swindon since the FGR match. The walk via the bus station provided some amusement.

Disappointing result which might be a slight reality check for some.
