Also, this is very much the MO of this management team.  Identify a "shortfall" and cut it off, thinking it will just lead to more people paying full prices (like those pesky Season Ticket holders getting free games).  No concept of reviewing what sells and trying to maximise and optmise - in this example, rather than just closing the "loophole" think about why people are buying them that way, then leverage it.  Clearly families see benefit, but it's not maximising revenue, so keep the loophole but change the pricing slightly.

It does smack of “it’s not our fault gates/revenue is low, it’s the fans”. The comment that they don’t need to market the club is up there with one of the most dim-witted, complacent, arrogant things to come out of this regime. That’s quite an accolade.

But hey, at least the club is serving its purpose for them. Keep that money flowing through the accounts.

Mourfuni has been eroding value/removing family tickets since the day he got in. My tickets didn't see a reduction after bequeathing the refund after COVID. In fact they may have gone up slightly.

That said, I wouldn't trust Ticketmaster either. Surprisingly shit in dealing with complaints from the little people.

It does seem like the club are improving their processes to check people are buying the correct tickets, which you would have expected should have always been the case but it hasn't been.

I'm sure we'd do surge pricing, were there ever any prospect of a surge.

Which I suppose is what the City game was.

Surely the Club can identify who's doing it (if any)
I had to contact the Club in the summer to add the option after my son turned 11. I very reluctantly paid to renew his ticket, but it made me feel sick to the stomach paying £100 for a 11 year old season ticket.

It used to be kid a quid when I was aged 11-15 with Championship football. It made me a fan long term (sadly) going every week with friends, as it was so affordable.

Short term gain hey.  Smug Fuck Off

For some context and balance, those buying junior Cheltenham tickets will have seen that it costs £10 for an under 11 there. Clubs just don’t get it. Short-termism, as you say.

What's the chances of getting a Cheltenham ticket? Home ticket easy enough to buy if we sell ours?

True. But it's an u18 ticket. They just don't have an u11 category which backs up your post.

They do seem to do promotions for u14s. Today is £1 for e.g.. Obviously we are so massive they aren't doing it for us.

Dear Trust STFC,

I wrote out of sheer frustration and fear about the current plight of STFC.

Following your open letter in Mid May (which was very well written) you have been completely silent on our continuing plight.

Results on the pitch to date have been absolutely terrible and we seem to be continuing with the downward trajectory .

We are in real danger of going into non-league and if we do there is no way we will bounce back under this regime.

There are lots of clubs being taken over yet we remained owned by people where some are unsavoury to put it politely and none have any experience at running a football league club- this is all too obvious by the shambles on and off the pitch.

You should be speaking out and actively courting new owners and get them to go public- this will give the fans something to get behind and more importantly some hope. I cannot believe we are not a good prospect for new owners and it’s about time that this was brought out in the open. It’s obvious the current regime will not shift without pressure. Make no mistake if these remain we are going to non-league.

Please can you be more outspoken like you were back in May as the fans currently feel no one is voicing their concerns. I have cancelled my membership with you as I feel you are too close to the club.

I sent a similar vibe of email to the Trust a few weeks back. No reply to the email, but I did get two separate board members messaging me with fairly different messages, at least one of which was fairly robustly defensive of the radio silence. I know others have done similar.

Maybe something is happening there, but they don't seem to feel it's worth telling the members about. It's not great.

I hope they pull something out. God knows we need it.

There clearly remains a conflict of opinion in the Trust. The fact the only time they ever post is about the women’s team suggests someone has an invested interest in that and likely won’t rock the boat because of it.

I've written to the Trust this evening too. Nothing will probably be done but at least I am contributing to trying to change things.

I have also emailed the Trust tonight, enough is enough now.

Would recommend others do the same.
