... more features for the club's concrete nightmare Doncentration Camp proposal

I do like the idea of a statue in his seat. Almost certainly a logistical nightmare though!

Thats a great move by the club in naming the ground (albeit temporarily) the Nigel Eady County Ground.

I like the idea of a statue in his seat but there could be safety issues if its diffult to get past in this mad world of health and safety.

Personally I would like the first new stand built (likely to be the Stratton Bank) to be named the Nigel Eady stand at least as a lifelong memorial to the man that contributed so much to the club.

The man (and his scarf!) is an absolute legend.

If the whole seat is taken out a low profile statue could be ok?

Possibly mate, I guess they would have to approach the H&S officer for the club and council to see if thats workable I guess. In theory yes I would think.

Given the glacial nature it takes the club to do anything (roof on the Stratton Bank anyone?) I'm not going to hold my breath waiting on anything permanent being done. But fair play to the club for the initial naming of the stadium, credit where its due.

Definately agree on that.

This looks like it might be a bit of pre-season amusement.

I guess similar if Arsenal suddenly changed their sponsors most would still call it the Emirates….

Arsenals stadium is Ashburton Grove if you you really want to be anti-sponsors.

Statues in seats have been done before in grounds. But I wouldn't trust this club. They would probably make it out of papier-mâché and spray it bronze

Perhaps we could have a section for deceased fans. Corpses propped up in their seats.

Probably make more noise than The Arkells.

STFC Embalmers. Might be a bit borate. Maybe the club can field a recruitment drive for a HCHO{D} {Human Corpse Head of Dept} ??  Girl Giggle
