Their crowd average last year was 6,600. I'd imagine that was bumped up by away fans.  Smiley

County Ground Rent Payment
We can confirm that the rent from the County Ground Stadium tenants to the County Ground Joint Venture, Swindon Town Football Club, has been paid this morning on time, as per our expectations and is seen as a positive step towards regaining trust and credibility.

I got an email from James Watts this morning as a former subscriber to the STFC Lotto asking for me to subscribe again, apologising for last year and making the point of the great commercial agreement with Adidas and Pro Direct and the hiring of new manager and very good signings.

The email is urging me to resubscribe to help fund the day to day running of the club and playing budget.  I know it's just a template email, but it seems a weird vehicle to use to drive fundraising for the club, surely there are better opportunities to drive revenue out there.

Shows the need for an experienced marketing manager - an email like this would not be sent out

How can the club be guilty but not Lee Power?

A long old investigation for some very minor punishments all round - or none at all in the case of Honest Lee.

Basically everyone who plead guilty got a minor punishment and Power got nothing, so suspect they just couldn't find enough evidence to make anything stick.

One of the charges we'd already admitted to was thrown out. Sounds like quite the farce tbh.

So apologies for asking the obvious. Will the court case have any bearing on more charges for the club or is that it for all the 'known' problems we're facing from the FA and charges at this point?
It was always stated the Power/Standing case was a significant one and could potentially ruin the club giving we've been in admin so many times.

I think that's all our known issues with the FA - there are still financial arguments outstanding with creditors (notably Centerplate, the catering people) but nothing else with the football authorities that we know of. That said, we didn't know of the late payments leading to a transfer ban until months after we'd been found guilty of it.

The Power/Chelsea stuff that got reported hasn't led to any charges that we are aware of.

What we all want to know, of course, is what’s in those redacted confidential bundles at the end of the FA declaration.

I *think* because decisions made on behalf of the club back then, even if driven by Power, are attributed against the club not the individual. Additional charges which were specifically against him as an individual were thrown out. As ever, club takes the historic burden of the behaviour of the people who ran it at the time.
