Do you honestly think even with 10k crowds we'd get a bigger budget? Even when we got bigger crowds after Morfuni took over the cost cutting started. Reckon Bob wants to buy a bridge? If Clem was selling one he'd have it.

While you raise a couple of good points, the reduction in crowds isn't entirely down to Clem/Issues at the top. It is mainly down to the shit football we have seen for the previous few years.
What manager isn't going to call for higher attendances for several reasons including better atmosphere, increasing the budget.
I’d disagree on the “mainly”. I do see that point and agree to an extent, we’ve had lots of poor “ball playing, possession” teams and after a while, it becomes tiresome. But let’s not beat around the bush here, from a purely football point of view, the crowds have dropped due to a chain that leads all the way up to the ownership. Majority of footballing issues we’ve had can have its cause traced up the chain reasonably. Pointing the finger at the lower end of the chain absolves the reasons above it of blame. From a non footballing point of view, the club has continuously made its own life harder by acting the way it has.

Why on earth should i spend my money knowing full well the squad will not be invested on properly and Kiely, Hart Aistin and fuck knows who else will still be getting a tidy sum from it
Because you're not a real fan if you don't, don't you know?

New, credible owners + Holloway next season = 10k crowds as we had under Garner.
This. Or more tbh. The appetite is there and we've seen it.

Yeah its gone from like 9,500 home fans in the Garner season to 7k. 2,500 fans haven't just fucked off because of the football, we were hardly really exciting and pissing the league under Garner were we?

The crowds are still pretty high, historically speaking, for performances. We'd usually be tipping below 6k by now, although the sample size is small because a club getting our crowds doesn't tend to stick around at this level for too long.
On the potential sale rumours - I wouldn't discount them. I am not a first hand source, but I am aware that people within the group are willing to sell - I don't often lean into rumours, but on this I can safely bet based on what little I do know. I also know interest remains, but my knowledge is not of a current bid, just parties working on trying to get something together. Just like the poster Bathford suggested (assuming he was 100% on the up, and he seemed to be), the opaque nature of the clubs funding and operational commitments creates a tricky business to sell though.

100% the club has made its harder on its self with a lot of own goals. However, you said its not fooball related and then blamed the club for the poor football (which I agree it's the clubs fault), I would say that they have put the footballing side of the club on a much better footing now (luck? judgement? I know which one I think it is).

The crowds under Garner went up solely because Power was no longer at the helm. The same will happen when Clem pisses off. Then it’ll all be dependent, as happens at every club, on what’s happening on the pitch.

Luck, which means it's only temporary. To be fair, luck is a big player in football at times, but clubs that have fucked up structures don't tend to get themselves into lucky positions as often.

I do wonder what the actual number of fans attending games are. I believe we count all tickets sold, even if they don’t actually turn up. We also have the rumoured activity around laundering cash.

That's not just an us thing. Every club does it, even the Prem clubs.

As has been said- even with crowds of 10k we still had a bottom third budget so not sure what those happy clappers that say back the team and this would impact the budget are on about tbh

We made an actual honest to goodness profit that year as well from memory (albeit largely thanks to the Man City game).

A previous poster mentioned luck... Just possibly since Morfuni has been at the helm he has experienced some really bad luck. Not saying it's not been brought on by some terrible decisions made by an obvious novice. But just possibly the club does need to pay Standing his money back. Admin fees. Also, if rumors are correct the club should be paying a million lent to by a Chelsea previous Rusian owner. Then are other strange suppose business transactions that went on during the Power period. Bet there are. Just possibly the club is worth that 12 million Morfuni clains he wants. Made up of potential earnings from player sales etc. Just possibly....now could be the time either start pissing or get off the pot for good. Support the club or don't... whoops who said that. Good luck tomorrow COYMRs
