I think it’s appalling if he’s been allowed to step down for this. Who hasn’t made honest mistakes in their career? Normally it happens under pressure when you don’t have the support of senior management. How many fucking mistakes has our unqualified CEO made?
It was a bad mistake but fuck me compared to what else is going on at the club, it feels like a distraction. It won't work.

We now have significantly less footballing expertise in the building than we had last week. Let that sink in.
On the plus side, let’s get right behind the Spirit of 69. I’m off to buy an orange hat.
Getting some serious traction online and in group chats. 21st December is full systems go.

That all went very quiet didnt it
Sam M saying he reached out to Morfuni yesterday. I dont think it is a good idea, it just prolongs the inevitable.

Or -
Fitton approaches Morfuni offering to help
Fitton is rejected because he's an outsider
Fitton pivots to wanting to buy Morfuni out and has fans behind him.
Clutching at straws perhaps.
My fear is Morfuni could/would use Fitton to simmer things down artificially.

Dan Hunt (on here as dphunt88 or something like that) & a regular on the Loathed Stranger podcast Rich Pullen of the girlfriend supports City fame also does a podcast or something (TLS obv) Terry I think used to be Panda Paws on here. I want to say he went on to be a journalist of sorts. Used to always be at the Town games with his dad & younger brother (with Down syndrome [i think]) the last part not massively relevant just extra description because you’ve probably seen them 100s of times down the years. Well, that’s who I think they are anyway. My TEF history might be a bit rusty

Fucking embarrassing it has to come to this. The trust are not fit for purpose.
I'll be there for sure.
It is. But who knows it might give the trust a boot in the arse along with the survey. They've got the budget for orange hats anyway.

The timing of this RE Fitton with the fan protest group is suspicious

It's been carefully written to not touch the dodgy stuff and just focus on incompetence, which I think is the right move - much more broad tent and the proof is all around us. They may be dodgy bastards as well but even if they're not, they are not competent at running a football club.
Very true. but the mouthy dickheads are also quite welcome at the moment. as our the passive unhappy fans that have been waiting to see what happens. We need everyone right now.

I don’t get the love in for Fitton to be honest, part of the reason we are where we are now is because of him. He diluted minority shareholding's into nothing so ability to attend AGM’s is gone, he took his own finders fee for Austin, he ran away when the going got tough, he appointed Hart FFS. Yes he saved us from Diamandis and co but it was all other peoples money he used and he ultimately delivered very little of long term benefit.

Ah yes... I suspected Rich was Rich Pullen. Have seen Dan on various media (including here of course)... didn't know about Terry... Fair play to them. Think it goes without saying that they have my full support...

Don't think this cuts the mustard unfortunately. Gladly have Fitton involved, but not with the current regime.
Fitton can absolutely help. By helping find a buyer.

My gut says we probably shouldn't be pinning our hopes on Fitton. I don't think he is that wealthy himself (although probably got more of a pot to piss in than Clem himself, but I digress) and the odds on him having another set of wealthy mates like Black/Arbib that fancy making a go of it or getting the band back together are pretty slim (Black clearly won't be interested). Its a long shot but obviously we leave no stone unturned at the moment.

It might but it shouldn't need this much pressure to make them represent their members. It's way too passive. And for the Loathed Strangers guys to organise something like this, leads me to believe the Trust were not planning drastic action any time soon. This would've been well thought out and not an impulse thing.
