4G shouldn't be used for a training ground, unless weather.. plus, if I was foundation park, i would be seriously concerned about getting paid for the time it is used..

Didnt we sign a 5 year extention deal with Beversbrook to use there as our training facility a few years back?
Pretty sure that Wellens helped set up the deal originally with Power as he didn't like his players training on anything other than grass, he was totally against 4g and 5g pitches as he thought they caused injuries.

If it’s not a daft question, why don’t we? It’s right there?
I assume something to do with status, ownership & grants. Being able to use it all day during school holidays & I guess all the under X academy teams but you’d think there would be times the first team could use it potentially
The club are at liberty to rent it, but it's a community foundation asset first and foremost. They have commitments to that community. No idea if it's grant restricted too, good point

Beversbrook is a big facility and even back in the Power days there was talk of a modular building/presence for a gym, media/debrief room/changing facilities/canteen etc. When you look at what's on offer it doesn't seem hugely different from a lot of pro training grounds - it's a case of getting what you pay for - that you see tatty shipping containers and plank wood platforms is probably symptomatic of that.

I don't really understand what happened with Power and the Twelve Oaks Golf Club - he planned a training ground, stables and housing development that got nodded through early 2021 and then revoked that summer I think?

Beversbrook training pitches which are restricted to Swindon only are excellent which has a lot of investment on drainage. The changing rooms and the non existent gym is the same since it was built, very basic.

I hope to god that’s not true, but nothing would surprise me. Imagine risking your league status for a Sky documentary!

They Holloway rumour sounds like mischief making.
Just can't see a documentary being interesting enough just around reaching 1000 games
