What was he supposed to do? Power employs him and if he spills his guts about his boss his future employment would be impaired. Don’t think he ever played him, though. Certainly not in any important game, anyway.

It was down to Wellens we got 13,000 in the CG v Exeter. He galvanised the fan base for sure.

The rumour I heard was that he called Curran out in training. "Don't go acting all billy big bollocks, you're only here because of your dad", to be exact.

Can’t believe anyone would believe a word he says after all the crap he fed us before he left.
But surely he would have said exactly what he was told to say.
At the time he had to be careful but many things have come out about Power since,  we have heard many things regarding the going ons behind the scenes, none favourable.
Will be interesting when Power finally goes,  maybe we will be told the bigger picture (or all we can legally be told),    hated him when he left, but after so much coming out since then would have him back tomorrow,  Now that would be a challenge for him to put on his CV.

Put him in the squads though and played him in the pointless trophy matches and even did the photo shoot with Curran when his deal was announced. Too close and matey with Power and Jewell and for me impossible to trust a word he says, in my opinion we need a clean break from anything associated with the current regime.

I don’t have faith in Wellens / Jewell to put together a competitive squad that’s good enough.

It will be even more interesting to see who is available to fill the managers role when the ownership dispute is finally settled!
