I understand the clamor to drop him when it rears its head, he can be so frustrating. But he’s clearly very good. I don’t know if it’s a mental thing for him, if so you’d hope that’s something that can be fixed and he can become more consistent.

He just can't seem to convert these rapid starts into 100's.
That was another crap dismissal.
Thing is, even if you get lucky and replace him with an opener who can average 10 more in an innings, at what cost does that come with if it makes duckett easier to bowl at as a consequence?
Crawley is also a good fielder and slip catcher.
It's just not worth replacing him unless the upgrade is significant.
