A bit of a long shot, but if you can get some big cat poo from a zoo then that will keep cats well clear of your garden.
Also human piss might work!

The local cats have now moved on to my car. They must have climbed on it last night. Dirty paw prints on the bonnet and the roof looks like they had a curry on it. Fucking things.

Just as a side note the rubber snake idea has now made it around a half dozen members of my extended family after I suggested it, after reading about it on here. They all swear by it and have been recommending to neighbours, friends, the postie etc.
The trick apparently is to have multiple in rotation.
So if anyone is in or around Devizes and sees rubber snakes on gardens, this is as a direct result of this thread.
