I think he makes a lot more sense if you just think of him as a boorish, opinionated guy in a pub just with an unbelievably large platform.

In general, I do ignore it, and I have asked Twitter to not show his tweets, and many of his 'disciples' tweets on multiple occasions. But they still get through the 'algorithm'. I think it's a huge danger to an already massively divided society. |

Do you use 'For you' or 'Following'? I use 'Following' and never see anything that isn't either posted by someone I follow, or retweeted by them. I haven't got time to share my thoughts on Elon but they're not positive! |

Unless you meant the other way round. ====== On Musk, I find the fact that the price he paid for Twitter {$44bn} and also DOGEcoin {$11bn}, is significantly much more than he paid Trump {$277m} for a very possible pathway to the White House. Musk, has Twitter {currently} of course so also has this unfathomable monopoly of Worldwide reach and influence. In essence, he is {somewhat unfavourably imo} on the precipice of running the ''free world'' by proxy; if not already doing so. |

TBH problem is that until many mainstream companies/organisations move over to an alternative platform you just get dragged back into Twitter to find up to date info out, if the official club account and probably BBC Wilts sport (amongst many others) went over to Bluesky I would have no need to go near twitter. What is going to be interesting is how things pan out for Musk over the next 12 months, Trump is going to (I expect) get rapidly pissed off with Musk trying to co-president, whilst it will be interesting to see what happens to things like Tesla sales if he continues on this path, at some stage those who have stakes in Tesla/Twitter (or lent him money against his stakes) are going to start to want their cash out/back.... |
