Did you think things would get any better under Labour?

No
Then you shouldn’t be surprised. Just a flavour of what’s to come. No point trying to soak the really ‘rich’, as in those with shit loads of money. They’ve already insured themselves, as they always do. No it’s anyone in the ‘squeezed middle’ who will suffer and first in the cross hairs are pensioners. It’s interesting to note as I see it that those who have worked, saved and paid their fair share of tax and NI are going to be hit hard, yet those on pension credits a good proportion who have been on benefits I suspect or not paid into a private/company scheme to help with the meagre state pension will still get the payout. Again showing that hard work and prudence count for fuck all later on in life. Ohhhh, don’t get me wrong, there are loads of very comfortable pensioners who don’t need the WFA but under the current system still get it regardless. However, there are a shed load who will fall outside the pension credit criteria who will be hit very hard.

This is a bit of a headfuck really. Labour doing something they definitely would have criticised the conservatives for whatever the circumstances, and the tories responding in exactly the same way that Labour would have done when they were in power. It’s not surprising of course, it was inevitable. But I still can’t shake the headfuck feeling.
Ah well, not my problem anymore. I now reside in a country where Donald Trump is about to become Prez. Plaaaaaaaaaain sailin’ baby

Never thought for a moment that Labour’s first decision was to screw over pensioners.
Should be ashamed.

I'm not saying this is the right approach/people, but if you want more zone people have to pay more.
If services don't improve *then* they have failed.

Well, yeah, but why rinse pensioners as your first act. There’s plenty of ‘others’ who could be hammered.
They had a choice.

Who, or what would you cut instead then? Easy to say there are choices, harder to say what they are.
