Excellent that they get relegated, but it does mean we have to play them twice next year.

For me it was them or Cambridge as both are reasonably close. Better that it's them as

Wasn’t sure where to put this but the Kidlington residents have voted 2073 to 928 against building Oxford’s new stadium there.

Oh dear

They are looking on the bright side, though. Only 30% turnout so, by their logic, 70% are either for it or not arsed either way.

Btw, what’s the timescale to get it built and ready for use before their lease on the crap hole ends?

TBH what the residents think is pretty irrelevant, if it complies with planning policy it will get approved whatever residents think.*

In terms of timetables IIRC it's pretty tight as the lease runs out on the Kassam in 2026, no idea how developed the new ground proposals are, but even if they submitted today I would envisage at the very least 12 months dragging through the planning system, and I can't see anyone building a whole new ground from the earth up including infrastructure in 2 years?

Its bloody tight if even possible!

*Albeit it would probably need to go through PINS if residents are very against it as I can't see Councillors approving easily with a shed load of public opposition, Councillors like their seats!) So that's potentially another 8-10 months delay in planning.
