In fact several are still sore about Hoddle in particular.

Agreed
but they're legends now, loyal to STFC or not
And, if the story is true, the club had no choice regarding Hoddle. I read somewhere that there was a contractual agreement with Chelsea or something and that the club were obliged to let him leave.

Got to agree with Black, imagine if the same documentary that captured Hoddles rather sheepish exit was being filmed in the past few weeks instead!

The incredible shame is that now there is a new owner, and Di Canio went away because of the relationship with the old owners.. So what the hell, there must be something. It looks to me that Paolo was kind of forced to go away. I'm pretty sure he wanted to finish his job with a promotion, but it looks like owners made if feel not wanted at this point.. And I'm talkin about the new owners as well.. If they were okay with Paolo they would have talked to him to explain the situation. They probably drove him crazy by ignoring him for long period, knowing with his bad character he would have gone away.

It's really bad.. also by him, I wish he would have swallowed his pride for behaviour of owners(sell of Ritchie as well), and thought only about finishing this season with style.. He should have done that, it's a pity.

I see nothing that suggests that Di Canio is some kind of victim. Personally, I think this is all result of a combination of factors from various sources - Not one person is solely to blame here.

It happens and, eventually, we shall move on.

Well, it's always a combination of factors in the end when somethin like this happens..  The truth is that it's a big big shame it ended like this.. And honestly I think Paolo at least deserved to stay, and deserved to be wanted by the new owners. He is for sure arrogant, and thinks too high on himself, but these great results are also the results of his incredible job, but it looks like he was not wanted anymore, since he was basically ignored by owners and not informed about stuff regarding the situation.

I also remember when Ritchie went he said something like his deal was a pact between Black and the new owners, os the new owners were on board with this, and didn't think about maybe discussing with Paolo about this. Maybe everybody was scared of talking to Paolo about anything since he is a bit mad  Cheesy

Not sure if I've misread something somewhere or it's been lost in the rush tonight but did I read somewhere that there was an issue between PDC and McCormack?
