1968-69. Swindon 2 Bristol Rovers 2. Think it was shortly after the league cup win and on the run to promotion. My dad used to go to all the home games in those days standing on Stratton Bank but bought seats near touchline on north side - was pre new north stand and my memory was we sat on wooden benches but could be wrong! Dad stopped going during fuel crisis which coincided with us being shit 1974? but got me hooked for life.
I think you're the third to list that game. Good that you've kept the faith.

Danny Wilson played in that game for Bury. I climbed the clock on the Bank when the 6th went in and felt really pleased with myself until I was told to get down by the " Adults "

Beleive it or not..... swindon 8.. Bury 0 Hell of a great week that was. Tuesday drew 1-1 at Arsenal (Billy Tucker header) then saw the Tom Robinson Band in a pub in Crouch End for free, then the 8-0...clearly my mind plays tricks nowadays, but I recall Bury were so shocked near the end they were passing back to the keeper trying to to waste time. Tuesday night was the epic 4-3 win in the replay v Arsenal.

my first ever Town game was home to Aldershot way back in the 80s (i think) and i'm sure we won 4-0. Went with my dad and grandad who was down from Liverpool and my lasting memory was of two fans fighting in the away end when it was the corner of the SB and Shrivvy Road, they were rolling up and down the concrete steps for what seemed ages before any stewards or police intervened!

Danny Wilson played for Bury that day....Mayes and Rowlands were brilliant up front and it could have been 12.

In the preseason before 91-92 I seem to remember, I think we lost 2-1, we all thought we would see John Aldridge, but he signed for Tranmere just before, so still saw him just not in that game
