Didn't get into ground till half time due to queues at the turnstiles - luckily we scored all our goals in the second half  Cheesy

Remember being on the Shrivvy, at the front. 19,000 there - and the following week we played in front of 41,000 at Sunderland!

Town 1 Palace 1 2/11/76 in front of a very healthy 11k+ crowd (div 3 in old money) Steve Perrin put them ahead, Dave Syrett equalized. It was bollock freezing cold.

This was my first one. My brother took me so we could get tickets for the Arsenal Cup game. I remember there being a load of trouble afterwards which was typical of Pompey in those days.

Bolton, Littlewoods Cup - Third Round Third Replay, Tuesday, November 21, 1989

A Ross McLaren winner in extra time. The Shrivvy and Town End seemed to be rocking - though it may have been my lack of live games that made it seem so to me. Sat in the Arkells yellows IIRC.

Home to Chester 17th March 1978 1-1 Kammy scored .

Just found my program from the game it cost 15 p and a quick flick through reveals you could buy a satin scarf for  85p or a woollen one for 1.30

1976,v Mansfield....think we won 1-0.....first away match was at Nothamptons old three sided ground under floodlights on a Friday Evening the same season....that was the days when Cobblers v Swindon was always a juicy affair.

21st January 1989
Crystal Palace 2-1 Swindon Town

I started off with an away game at Selhurst Park. I'm dying to see footage of this game because we took the lead in the first half through Steve Foley right in front of all the Palace fans... which for some reason my old man decided to position himself, me and my mate. There's got to be footage of three random people celebrating amongst the home fans when Foley tapped home. In other news, I hate Mark Bright.

This was also my first game at the County ground although I had seen a couple of away games before this. Stood in the Shrivy road stand on tip toes to see as much as possible. Got to say that was the game that got me totally hooked on supporting the Town. The score certainly helped.

Southend at home, late 1992, we won 3-2. Things I remember:

Maskell got 2
Attendance was 7777
I missed the first Southend goal as I was buying a Mars Bar
