Certainly a lot of work to be done this week but I am sure the club based on what we have done so far. I do think though that fans need to remember the clubs aims this season are still the same and anything more is a bonus. Amazes me how many think we should just pay off the efl loan and get on with it to be honest

I hear KKH has picked up an injury playing for Villa U-23's, so I assume that is him not being loaned out

It's Costanza's thing, but he appears to be on a TEF break since last year.

The unknowns are all 2023 I believe. I've been told due to the umbungo we can only offer 1 year extensions.

Well, that took four and a half hours to be out of date as Grant officially departs Cheesy

Expected but a shame nonetheless.

Besides the obvious squad deficiencies that exist currently the absence of someone like him in the squad with experience and leadership qualities will probably play a massive part on whether we manage to sustain a promotion challenge when the pressure cranks up. With him gone there is no leader in leader in the squad, no one that is vocal on the pitch and has that experience to manage a lead.

It’s doubly a shame as we are still crying out for a captain with some of the qualities of Grant but it seems the captains armband is more of a token gesture here, it seemingly doesn’t come with a leadership or organisational role on the pitch.

Don’t think Garner has any interest in the sort of player you describe / Grant is.

Unless someone can tell me differently I’ll assume the reason for Grant not being included was because of his style of player rather than a personal clash between him and Garner. No doubt all the Jamaica travelling and quarantining didn’t help but don’t think he would have played even without all of that.

I’d be truly amazed if freeing up Grants wages meant we went out and signed another ‘Grant’ type and started using him.

I don’t disagree but the absence of a ‘Grant type’ could well be the difference between promotion and not if we are still in the hunt come the end of the season.

Maybe, but that's why Garner's the manager and you're not.

A grant type was certainly needed second half v Rovers. We have Lyden, but he has been benched last 2.
