I know someone who compares Galdwin to Hoddle in the way that both could look very lazy but, when the circumstances were right, could waltz past the opposition and land a 50 yard cross field pass on a sixpence or score proper fizzers from outside the box.

That's a hell of a stretch but i can kind of see where they are coming from

All depends on where he is played and how the opposition line up, hopefully Garner has learnt where and when to play him now.

Like on Saturday where he had acres of space and had no really defensive responsibilities then he can dictate a game with his passing range. When he’s played as essentially a second centre midfielder against a loaded opposition midfield and had to run/defend which has happened too often this season he’s looked miles off the pace and that’s being polite.

Not saying he is (or will be) as good as Saint Glenn but, he is the same style of player with the attributes of a lower tier Hoddle.

Oh for fuck sake. What’s the point in calling them season long loans when they are clearly not? They are six month loans with a view to renew or otherwise

Next season we need to start having our own players than this shitty loan situation we find ourselves in every January. Such a ball ache.

I assume this is what Duke was worried about the other day

live by the loan. die by the loan.

isn't he out of contract with Ipswich come end of season. perhaps they are trying to cash in

This transfer window has not been kind to us at all. I guess we may have to consolidate and have another go next season, when the embongo is (hopefully) lifted.

Brilliant.

I bet if he’d been shite they’d have happily left him here and refused to take him back.

I know it’s bloody difficult but about time we tried to move away from the loan market. Even the season long loans are short term.

Christ.

Hope they saw this coming. Another season where the squad will look very different for the second half of it.
