Personally I dont think that Nathan Thompson is good enough for L1 and should have been let go.

I wonder how much him getting a new contract is down to the fact that he shares the same agent as PDC as does Louis Thompson.  I do know that one of the current youth team players was contacted by said agent earlier this year with the promise that 'if you sign up with me you'll be fast tracked into the first team'..........

What you've described is the football industry.

Really not surprised about the Smith news.  Knew something was up at the party on the pitch.  Looked very withdrawn and didn't take part in the celebrations.

Would like to wish him good luck for the future.  Will never forget the saves in the JPT penalties.

After his performance in the Charlton game I can never say a bad thing about him, would of been a brilliant number 2 but maybe his performance agaisnt Gillingham was the final nail in the coffin. Good luck to him seems a genuinely nice guy.

With Lanzano still on the books I suppose the club have to stick with what they've got.
What is the deal with Lanzano? He was originally meant to leave in January but never did.

If Smithy is leaving, best luck for the future and thanks for the last few years.
I'm sure he can do a good job for a league club seeking an experienced keeper with a good few years left in him.
Don't think it will be Crawley as I think they've offered new contracts to both of their keepers.

Good luck to Smithy, top bloke and I hope he gets fixed up with a good club.

Deserves a good run at number one at this stage in his career and its hard to see him getting that with Wes on form.

Haven't they all just got from Vegas? Flint and Foderingham have been whining about their return.

Sad to see Phil smith go if true, as others have said great servant and seemed to be a top bloke too, hope he gets the club/place he deserves. If your reading this Phil all the best.
