Harry Parsons signs a new and improved deal already

There was an issue previously where Parsons had signed the contract but Anderson (or whoever) hadn't finished the job before everything went tits up last month. Harry could have walked etc.

The fact that the new regime have since improved it is a nice touch.

These ones felt very deliberate.

A more generous theory would be that he didn’t feel able to make a commitment that the new regime would need to pick up.

Presume the offers to both Payne and Odimayo were equally derisory.

Hopefully revamped ones may see them both stay.

Payne situation isn't the same. He's just got that release clause and I think he'd have gone by now if he was truly desperate to. Seemed happy with the Gladwin signing too.

Odimayo arrived on a very small pro football wage and was probably offered derisory fresh terms but here's hoping Odimayo returns with a contract all parties would be happy with.

Especially Odimayo, as Wellens said he was on very low wages when signed, but he started playing regularly and well, Wellens talking about improving the contract before he left, so doubt that was ever done and guessing the new contract was on the same wages, just to cover a fee if he left.

Clutching at straws, but I’d have thought Odimayo would have gone somewhere else by now - either training as trialist or actually signed.

On the pitch Saturday and job’s a good ‘un!

The fact we're due a compensation fee for Odimayo is perhaps putting a few clubs off him.

Probably more for the transfer rumours than this thread but....

I am hearing that ex Town youngster and striker Owen Windsor coming in on loan from WBA is gaining momentum.

Think he could still do a job with the right sort of attacking players playing around him and delivering.

Not the worst of the bunch last season but possibly the least mobile

Funny one. No doubt he could still contribute if you built a side to play to his strengths. But in a more dynamic system worse than useless. I'd rather we didn't have someone so tactically limiting in the squad at this stage.

I was fearing he’d come back. Watching him try to run is a haunting memory from last year. He’ll score a few for them, but will completely change the way any side plays.
