It amused me that he attempted to mock Di Canio by wearing a yellow & blue striped scarf. Just made himself look like a complete prick IMO.

From todays oxford mail:

Like his opposite number Paolo Di Canio, Wilder donned a scarf and suit for the match, but said the similarities between the duo end there.

“I’m here in my Oxford scarf and my Marks and Spencer suit, but I’m not like Paolo am I?” he asked.

“Although I guess if it was from Markso Spencero I might be!”

Apparently Gilbert O Sullivan has been on the robert elms show on radio that london talking about his love for STFC.

Strikes me that the he wrote oh wack a doo wack a day many years ago.  Several years later Timmy Mallett used that as inspiration for wac a day.

Even in the shit fans stakes between us and pox, they are in our shadow.

Superb!

"The bloke in the background" looking like a Joey is Andy Melville, gk_nash.

I didn't know what he looked like until i saw that pic above. He is such a fucking nobody.

Does it matter? I'd rather be Oxford United, managed by the nobody (but wholly capable) Chris Wilder, than "Paolo Di Canio's Swindon town". Your manager is bigger than your club.

Your manager is bigger than your club.

Which is why he will get better players than division 4 normally attracts. Which is why he will get us promoted. And yes he will eventually leave, maybe in the summer, hopefully sometime thereafter.

Better that than the alternative.

Tell me that if our league positions stay the same at the end of the season and you blow the play offs.

There isn't such thing as a rookie manager being too big for any club.

I think what pisses oxford fans is the fact alot of our fans are not as gutted as they would be if they lost. There is a general reaction of ah well never mind our end

Beating Swindon is all that matters to them. For us, it's nice to beat Oxford but not the end of the world if we don't.
