I thought Martin Freeman was excellent, I haven't seen the film but loved the first episode last week.
Watch the film. The TV show was good, although Freeman's William H Macy tribute showed how great the original performance is. You'll get more of the back references too, even if they can be heavy handed. |

Agree sort of, S2 seems to have taken an already thin idea too far. Gervais now more than ever is constantly breaking character, and there's no bloody plot. Half the cast seem to serve no purpose. It's basically an hour of someone saying "be a nice person/don't be cruel to animals". Passed me by a bit I'm afraid. I wasn't in the middle of punching a kitten when I tuned in  |

The first two seasons of Prison Break are good. After that, it's pretty forgettable. Breaking Bad was the opposite for me; dull first couple of the seasons (to the point where I nearly gave up on it) but superior fayre in those final three. GoT is my favourite TV show at the moment. All three are worth a watch. |
