I watched the game tonight at Bitton. Didn't know at the time who this "Vince" up front was. He is big and very solid and I assumed he must be another 18/19/20 year old as that was the order of the day. Assuming that he was a youngster, we thought he was an OK target man - much better in the second half than the first - but he was a bit raw. Movement not great, positioning not brilliant, dont remember him having any real threat on goal. Give him a couple of years and he could be a good player.
Just discovered he is 28 - I would be very surprised if they sign him.

When speaking to him at training, he said that got pretty low due to the fact the fans were getting on his back and calling him lazy etc. He made a joke out of it, calling 'energy efficient'. He's down to earth and not big headed at all. I hope he gets a contract some where and gets back fit again. He's a confidence player and needs an arm around him sometimes.

Maybe, but he needs more than confidence. Confidence doesn't cause laziness or fitness. Added to that the lack of ability, then I am glad he left us. |

He done well at Carlisle before he came to us that was why we signed him perhaps he would be better in a team playing with confidence, I'm sure once he get's a club and get properly fit then he will become a handful again, it's just that in a team fighting for survival and having nothing decent up front he looked like a donkey

Possibly, but my point is that he has no excuse on his lazyness & fitness, as this has nothing to do with confidence. So regardless of playing in a poor side, that is something he can control. The fact that he didn't, and doesn't seem to have done since leaving us (as Luggy pointed out), suggests I am happy he is no longer with us. |

lazyness...as this has nothing to do with confidence.
It kind of could, lack of confidence = hiding = looks like laziness. But he just looked plain lazy/unfit to me. On occasion he put in a reasonable run, then looked to be blowing out his arse for the next 20. |
