Eh what happened to the money we were given for the sale of Charlie Austin or is this on a different thread...?? Kind of irrelevant to a wage cap though. The question is not so much whether we have the money to spend as whether we're allowed to

Really...? As this money came in before we went down surely its not taken into account. Failing that perhaps the money could be spent on 2/3 new players possibly more. We all bleat about Greer but he only cost Brighton 250k....

I think the cap relates to projected revenue - i.e. how much we think we'll earn next season, not how much we have already got (might be wrong). Then again I know naff all about what happens if the Austin money arrives in instalments. has it already been through the books or can it be used against projected revenue.

Jean-Francois, Pericard and Cuthbert all have the retain option in their contracts like Douglas.
Did we know this?

Could explain why Pericard hasn't played for an age then.

I think he meant the club have the option, rather than the player having the option if they play X games? AOB had the latter, which may explain his early dumping.

Good news that Cuthbert won't be able to just walk away. I agree that he's not been brilliant this season but he was one of our key players last year and for me was our best player at Wembley. If he can get some confidence back and is playing in a slightly more successful team next year then he could be invaluable.

I'd agree I think Cuthbert is probably the only defender that I'd like us to keep the others I would not be bothered if they went

Updated the list with the other players the club has the option on. Anything else I've missed?
Good news about LJF, I know he's not everyone's favourite but it's interesting that Hart and Bodin have both played him. Maybe they thought more of him than Wilson?

For some reason I thought our squad would be ripped apart more than looks likely.
I'd keep LJF, Cuthbert, Dougie and probably Timlin.
Pericard can go. Suspect he'll be on a pretty chunky wage?
