I can't believe we're actually selling him unless something has gone on. It doesn't make sense. And as others have said, the thought of Cuthbert and JFL or Cuthbert and Morrison as the first choice pairing is not exactly inspiring. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I think we need somebody else in now, preferably with a fair bit of experience.

I have to say i'm not as disappointed as I thought i'd be if Greer left, the spat with Wilson sealed his fate imo and 250k is a decent price for him.  As long as we bring in a similiar replacement with some pace which Greer had none of then i'll be happy.

I'm also glad it's Greer and not Cuthbert we've sold.

Apparently he decided to leave after some cunt on a forum started a rumour about him punching a disabled lad.

What?!

Oh well, could be worse. Could have to go into work this afternoon just to set some tests off.

Oh, wait...

Am absolutely fucking livid about this. All joking aside I think this sends out a massively worrying marker for our (lack of) ambition this year. The way I see it either the board don't believe they can invest in us enough to push on into the Championship or we can't compete on wages with Brighton. Whichever it is, I am worried.

We've made a huge profit on player transfers in the past 12 months which is a bit galling really. You want some of the 32000 to come more regularly then you have to be seen to be investing what you recoup in transfer fees surely? You won't put bums on seats selling your best players. It's so fucking blinkered.

Also, if other clubs can get six or seven players in before the start pre-season why can't we?? Have we learnt anything from Theo Cunting Robinson last year?

Alleged. The only people I've seen talk about this are the gays.

I didn't see Greer as much as others on here but I don't think he is half the CB that Cuthbert is. His constant climbing on opposition forwards did my box in. Lets not panic too much, perhaps Danny has an ace up his sleeve.

Wilson has nothing up his sleeve. He's said as much.

Cuthbert is the better player, sure but isn't a lead. We saw just how badly we need one before and after Williams, Vincent and Greer.

All our centr backs are 23 and under.

Gordon Greer is a fuckin' queer,
he left us to take it up the rear.
Gordon Greer, this is what we sing,
Brighton fans'll smash your back doors in.

Your back doors in, your back doors in.
Brighton fans'll smash your back doors in.
