One dickhead does something and that warrants seeing a football club go under?

Exception: Pete Winkleman, Franchise.

You're right there.

Franchise is the only football club in the world who I would enjoy seeing go bust.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but what is so bad about promotion at the expense of a club going under? I only ask because i notice people saying we should refuse it. I don't understand why? We didn't make them go out of business, we didn't make them spend more than they could afford.

Sure i know it would be awful and I wouldn't wish it upon any football fan* to see a club go out of business, but i'm struggling to see what the problem is.

*Franchise are a franchise not a football club, therefore they have customers, not fans, so do not count.

As said in the other Palace thread, we would be nationally hated as the club that got promoted but couldn't do it ourselves.

We'd be up there with Franchise. Well not quite but you get the point.

We would get a bit of stick from away fans but being hated thru-out the country is a bit harsh. What team wouldnt take the spot if it was offered to them?

Like someone said, its not our fault palace fucked up. We just happen to be in the right place at the right time, thats all.

But, its not gonna happen anyway.

Ah, i understand. It'd be like crossing a picket. Still, never look a gift horse in the mouth. We need to go up within a few seasons and they say it's worth £10m dont they? We'd be mugs to turn that down.

Nothing much was going to happen at 3pm. It was just the deadline set by the administrator for a take over to be agreed and if missed they were going to put all their players up for sale. I hope Fitton has his cheque book ready, might be some good bargains to pick up.
