Word on the street is it's looking extremely grim for Palace.

It would be a travesty if they go under and you have to feel for their fans today.  We have been close to the edge a few times but I don't ever recall being that close?

Not going to happen. Wednesday would just not be relegated.

Ditto.

I think we pretty much were when Fitton took over.

But I still think the Palace story is scare tactics. Hope so.

I think the problem for Palace is that they don't have anyone chucking a few quid to keep the hounds at bay.  They employ less than 30 staff now and couldn't pay the wages.  Without anyone even willing to cover the cracks until a deal is done there simply can't be any cash to stop people from taking action anymore.

Sky News are reporting that the talks over the ground sale have collapsed.

Looking pretty bad for Palace at the moment.

When we were demoted in 1990 it was pretty awful seeing the way that Keegan and Dennis Smith
were scrambling all over themselves to claim our place.Keegan wasn't even Newcastle manager but
went out of his way to say that Newcastle "deserved" to be promoted instead of us.Smith kept on
saying,"Rules are rules".

I also won't forget the media role that Jeff Powell (Daily Mail) played in his eagerness to see us demoted,
whilst more ethical journos and broadcasters such as Patrick Collins (Mail on Sunday) and BBC's Mike Ingham,
said that our demotion, was totally wrong.

It's not going to happen anyway but....

What would we achieve by refusing a place in the Championship? It would be an empty gesture and would mean another club taking it instead. It's totally different circumstances to what happened with us - the place isn't being taken away from another club.

I wouldn't want us to go up like that. Completely wrong.

Never had a problem with Palace and I remember the good footballing sides they had in 80's and 90's.

I hope if Palace do fold, that Wednesday stay up. Makes league 1 easier next season!

One dickhead does something and that warrants seeing a football club go under?
