Have you ever sat in the Arkells... mid-late 90's and if so do you remember the bloke that used to shout "don't panic Mr Mainwaring! and ALLEZ PHILLIPE" ??

He annoyed me even when I was a kid.

Open question to you all actually...

On topic - the length of the other trivial things thread.

There used to be a guy who stood in Shrivy Road late 80's early 90's who used to barrack the linesman every home game with shouts of "get your flag up liner" in a broad west cuntry accent.

there's a bloke in the arkells who always gets people laughing during games.
he shouts "come on swindon" or  "come on you reds" at random moments in a stange high pitched voice.

theres a scottish guy in the arkells who, without fail, shouts 'you should have gone to specsavers ref!' each time the ref makes a dubious decision. theres also a crazy shrieking woman who never seems happy

Where I used to stand in the old Shrivvy Rd stand, there was a bloke who was rat-arsed for every match. He used to sing songs and players names in a ballad type way all through the match. His rendition of 'Nicky Summerbee' was particularly stirring.

He was fucking ace he was.

The STFC Cycle team's stop off and photo opportunity in the picturesque village of Malpas raised a smile.

Also this BBC article:

Telling me that the Milliband brothers went to the same school as N-Dubz. Not at the same time obviously, but it amused me all the same.

Someone walked past our office yesterday and shouted office wankers. It's  funny because it's true

My favourite line of his was always "Burn 'im Kers!" whenever saint Dave got the ball on the right wing. Odd as Kerslake was never really all that quick
