Since when does Autumn start in October? It starts on the 1st september - even astrologists say 21st september but they're wrong. So it's been autumn for weeks, lucky you.

No they are not. The seasons change on the equinoxes. So autumn begins on 23rd September, winter on 21st December, spring on 29th March, summer on 21st June (this year).

Granted, it seems about a month or so out. December is winter, surely? The beginning of June must be summer and September certainly isn't (natch). March is spring in my book.

But there you go.
