Officially a gym bunny now. Started off slow by doing a mile and a bit on the treadmill. 101 calories 1.16 miles in 24 minutes, give or take. Also did a couple of laps around Peatmoor lagoon earlier so feeling pretty good. Every journey starts with the first step I believe.

I'm on a local facebooky type thing called Next Door which I mainly use when I need a tradesman as it's good to get advice. However whenever there is a holiday, like Christmas, New Year or Guy Fawkes night there are always posts from people moaning that their little kittens are hiding under the sofa, or their dogs have run away blah blah.
My question is, have fireworks got louder? They do seem to be louder than I remember when I was a child, but that isn't really saying much as I have a colander memory. In fairness to the pet owners, on New Years Eve in our locality there were fireworks at 4.30, 6, 8 and then a few at 11pm and midnight. I certainly understand the frustrations.

Not sure about louder, but s you say much more prevalent, we are in a reasonably small village and it sounded like a war zone for much of New Years Eve evening, thankfully the Dog really doesn't give a shit about such things and I had drunk too much.

I guess fireworks are much cheaper and more available to buy now so any old Joe Soap can pick them up at their local convenience store, or even Aldi. Hence the fact they are more prevalent.

Its owned by the Daily Mail.... Dunno what all the fuss is about, she could have saved all the pain and upped her productivity from 50 jars worth of farts a week by just drinking a few cans of Boddies every day!
