They already do. There's a lake in America somewhere where you can sometimes see the city on the other side of the lake. You should not be able to because it's below the curvature of the Earth - but this phenomenon makes it appear sometimes. So, the flerfers are all over it claiming it means the Earth must be flat. They go rather quiet when asked to explain why it can't be seen the rest of the time, though. |

Missed this earlier. Oh joy I hear from the TEF arena  I'm thinking it's probably a temperature inversion?! I haven't googled, I read about this in the book "The Natural Navigator" a while back. To do with occasions when warmer and cooler air mix in some way (poss the warmer air sits above the cooler air) and so it fucks our visual perception over; it can also do similar things with sound too. But don't tell the flerfers that  |

I hadn't Batch, no (but I have now). Yep, a form of temperature inversion I believe. I love all kinda stuff like this. Have spotted a few times the phenomena of warm air currents lifting up lighter material (like hay/straw) and it makes it appear as if it's some kind of upside down whirlwind. Yet gentler and more like some kind of dance. Weird but cool and I can't remember the name of it. |
