Probably said this before, but he was a mate of mine - we used to go to matches in his ferrari - scared the shit out of me but fun non the less. Totally down to earth guy, without the trappings of excess that are normally associated with hard rock (that I was aware of)  Wink

Seemed wrong that he was killed on the M4, especially as he used to race at Brands Hatch and Silverstone.

In one of the years of dodgy owners they tried to get him onside (or his money) but he was much to sharp for them  Cheesy

To make it worse, he had two ferraris - a red one and a white one, so that was ok
Trouble was they never both went at the same time - very unpredictable, but good when they were going - just like Town really  Cool

Happy birthday Alan.

Congrats on not being dead yet Alan xx

Thank you ladeez  Smiley

Spent the weekend wrecked in Dublin. The Guinness consumption accelerated at 2-0 down on Saturday as I knew I had made the right decision. Pissed off at coming back to 4-2 and not being there so the consumption increased again

Mortgage offer came through this morning, less than a week after we applied.

Thank you very much anyone who works at Nationwide.....

That's good because we applied for a mortgage last week with Nationwide.

Good to hear they are pretty efficient.

To be fair its a <50% LTV mortgage and the valuation was done the afternoon we applied as the surveyor happened to be in the area which no doubt speeded things up, but had text confirming offer was to be made on Wednesday and paperwork this morning. However they have been really helpful all the way through (to be honest they have been fine with our existing mortgage as well!)

Yesterday I cooked Beef Brisket for 7 hours. Still some left over today. Absolutely superb in a roll, with coleslaw and hot sauce.
