I got 8 also!

I miss the old grounds and proper atmospheres.

You can go to an old ground about once a fortnight. Proper atmospheres though...

I recently contemplated how many grounds were older than the CG...think next season it will be 120 years on the same site, longer if the initial cricket pitch bit is counted....almost certainly it is the oldest continuously used ground south of Wolverhampton, but there's a few norvern monkeys who can claim longer, like Newcastle, Bradford City, Bury, Oldham, Burnley, PNE.

There used to be a few clubs, which had the football/cricket thing.....like Feethams, Darlo......County Ground, Cobblers and Bramall Lane.  Notts County used to play at Trent Bridge, but moved to a football only venue at Meadow Lane in 1910. So ours is about the only one left.

I reckon though it's easily in the top ten, and older than some surprising grounds like Villa Park, The Hawthorns, Bramall Lane, and Hillsborough

Interesting Reg - I hadn't realised the ground was so old, mainly I suppose because of the stand rebuilds in the 70s and 90s. What's the oldest surviving part of the CG? The brick turnstiles down at the TE and the walled-up ones by the Bank? When do they date from?

The TE was built in 1938, as far as I know the the turnstiles are original....the Bank had a bit of a refit in the early 60's, quite what that abandoned corner houses I don't know.

My little boy has also recently discovered the joys of farting. He thinks it's ace, which it is of course.

I just clicked on a memories link on facebook.  My status 5 years ago today was:

'Leeds Utd 0 Swindon Town 3.  It's in our hands now'.

How ironic that we find ourselves in a similar situation again.  Hopefully the outcome this time is different.

Evans' face in this picture and his indignation in general

The "I'm not questioning his integrity, but.." Is some mourinho level bullshit as well, except Jose isn't that stupid

Certainly not stupid enough to follow that quote with "some people don't want us in the Championship." Still not questioning integrity? Hope he gets a touchline ban long enough to see his team relegated from the stands without his "inspirational" input.

PdCs' interview regarding Mr Evans was somewhat humorous
