National Trust membership.
Had a family membership for years, and it is fantastic value.
Had a great afternoon down at Stourhead today.
My neck of the woods! 'Local tip' is if you like a walk you can park up at Alfred's Tower and walk down Six Wells Bottom to sneak in the bottom entrance without needing a membership. Also don't go to the Phoenix, the pub right next to the gardens. The place is shite and gets away with being so mostly because of its proximity to Stourhead.

First day of new business venture and first day working from home full time! Whilst it is all a worry in general terms, getting 3 hours back a day by not having to commute is a big plus for me and the family!

Weirdly, similar thing for me today - first day self employed. I haven't left the house. It's been wonderful. Best of luck horlock!

Good luck to you too! I have been working from home a bit in the pat so its not a complete change, however the thought that I wont have to traipse into Manchester on the train any day this week appeals hugely!

I am a Heritage Planning Consultant - so basically get people planning and listed building consent to renovate old buildings or build in historic areas - that sort of thing. So if anyone on here is looking for such a thing think of your fellow Town fan!

Mine's a bit more boring as I do I.T. stuff. From big stack servers to little old grannies who have problems with their ancient tower computers they got so they can 'do the email'.
All my work today was remote access maintenance.

Inspiration boards, or whatever they're called. A firm next to a business I collect from have one that takes up nearly a whole wall you can see through their window. It's full of quotes like 'BELIEVE ACHIEVE', 'how HARD do YOU want IT?' (sounds kinda rapey) and then pictures of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Stephen Hawkins. I don't really see how that would make me work harder...

Hawking and Jobs had it pretty hard. I'd go for doing a less work than them..

Can you recommend anything for the Deers Leap?

Went to the York panto yesterday, told the Mrs that I liked the made up placename Wetwang. She looked at me all confused:

Now its even funnier, much to her eye rolling disgust.
I've always found Blubberhouses to be the most amusing place name locally (to me in Sheffield). My mental picture of the place is of a small village with all the homes carved out of beached whales. Like a more messy Bedrock. Penistone always raises a snigger as well.
