Went to the York panto yesterday, told the Mrs that I liked the made up placename Wetwang. She looked at me all confused:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wetwang
Now its even funnier, much to her eye rolling disgust.
I take it, then, that you've never experienced the delights of one of the best fish and chip shops/restaurants in the world, Harpers of Wetwang. They're also in a few other places in the area, York for example. Always a queue, day or night.

Why do you lot bother reading it? It must be comparable to watching a special needs kid skateboarding for the first time. Look the other way..
Because it's funny as fuck.

Nope! The Mrs used to live just off one of the road that now has a Harpers on too ( Hull Road, York). Think it was a Chinese , then a pizza place when she lived there.

Apparently so far this season Swindon loan players have made 76 appearances whereas ours have made only 4. In addition they have signed a further loanee. What you would call a settled side!
They're not doing anything wrong It's their cheating and playacting I take issue with
Has anyone checked those numbers?

Seeing as they think Byrne, Luongo et al are loans, I didn't even bear it a second thought.

Turnbull, Stephens, Louis all loans so yeah its probably right. Lets all bow to the superior club who are overspending and losing millions a year. Their business model must be the best way.

Turnbell and Stephens fair enough
...but...Louis Thompson is such a technicality. The fact we don't own him but he's still here is in fact fantastic business

5 of the starting 11 were loans if we count Louis as one I guess 76 may be right but certainly takes a sad fucker counting up another teams loan appearances

National Trust membership.
Had a family membership for years, and it is fantastic value.
Had a great afternoon down at Stourhead today.

On a similar score, the family and I went to Westonbirt Arboretum today, lovely wander around there, interesting too. Bit cold for the kids though.

This TED Talk is properly mental and worth a watch if you have a few minutes. http://www.ted.com/talks/michael_rubinstein_see_invisible_motion_hear_silent_sounds_cool_creepy_we_can_t_decideSee invisible motion, hear silent sounds Meet the “motion microscope,” a video-processing tool that plays up tiny changes in motion and color impossible to see with the naked eye. Video researcher Michael Rubinstein plays us clip after jaw-dropping clip showing how this tech can track an individual’s pulse and heartbeat simply from a piece of footage. Watch him recreate a conversation by amplifying the movements from sound waves bouncing off a bag of chips. The wow-inspiring and sinister applications of this tech you have to see to believe.

Lovely place, they've got a Gruffalo trail on at the moment for the kids and they do great Christmas walks awsell. The inlaws don't live too far away so we're there quite often

We live fairly close to it now so think I might get a year's season ticket, should be worth it with the kids, seeing the changes with the seasons.
