I find that the Daily Mail appears to be given away at airports and on flights, more than other newspapers. Perhaps this skews figures?

Or have you considered there just may be that many retards in England?

It's also given away as a 'free paper!' offer in places like Waitrose etc., whereas stuff like guardian, indy etc. is not, so I think that helps too.

It's not really worth considering, thought that'd be pretty obvious.

Agree with your point, although Waitrose is one of the few places that does include the Guardian in its free offer.

I've always wondered how many Mail readers actually agree with the shit that it spouts.
The optimist in me dearly hopes that most people reading it do so for some macabre interest in the obscene views that they print, kind of like all the people who slow down to gawk at car crashes.
The pessimist in me is very very worried that their circulation figures are so high.

My grandparents and aunt read the Daily Mail.

It gives them opinions as they're not capable of forming their own.

Sorry.

Some fat cunt ordering 8 battered sausages with his portion of chips. Was told he had to wait for them to be cooked so he went outside with a can of coke and smoked a fag.

Sorry.

I was actually going to post something similar about family members and needing to be fed opinions.

Which is the reason so many people read the 'red tops' (and other papers).

I remember well the day I had an epiphany and acquired the contempt I have for the press. It was on that day I saw just how much the press influence other peoples' 'opinions' to their own liking.

Interesting. I've seen the Telegraph given away at Birmingham airport when you buy a bottle of Evian the last three times I've flown from there. I have seen the I (which is a tabloid Independent) given away in hotels. Never seen the mail given FOC.
