Went to Boro and we won 3-2 back in the late 80's. What a shithole and rough as fuck. There are some real shitholes in the UK but Boro tops the lot, even worse than Port Talbot, Widnes, Hull or luton.

I have no desire to live there but the role is Norwegian speaking IT support for a big Norwegian company and it pays really fucking well for what is basically an entry level job. I've got some mates in Boro which would make it bearable but it looks like a fucking hole

My condolences. You could always live in Yarm, which isn't a bad night out either.
I worked the opening of the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. Exactly what the locals had been cry out for.

Exactly what the locals had been cry out for. This was of course irony. What they are really crying out for is opposable thumbs.

Of course there's always the option of working but not living there? There's nice places within commuting distance.

Parmo is amazing.
Yanks do chicken Parmigian (spel?) as a standard 'lazy day' dish, and Parmo is essentially the chip shop version. I'd rather have one of those than a Kebab any day...
