Through all the shite that accompanies said festival, Arctic monkey's set at Glasto last night was fucking great.

Really? I've never been that into them but watched 10 mins and was completely uninspired. They were on one of the most hallowed stages in music, headline slot for that evening (I think), a real opportunity to say something interesting or impart some wisdom. What does he come out with....?

"Have a great weekend everyone."

Fuck off you dull cunt. If you're such a poet I'm yet to see or hear any evidence.

Some more Joe Kinnear classics. The amount of shite the spills out of this idiot's mouth is quite extraordinary.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/02/joe-kinnear-director-of-football

Quote
"Some directors of football have never played the game. I'm lending my experience as a manager for all those years – 10 years at Wimbledon, two years at Nottingham Forest, two years winning promotion at Luton and, of course, almost two years at Newcastle. I would still be there had it [a heart attack] not occurred."

Kinnear was actually in charge at St James' for a little more than six months before his health problems struck.

Totally agree.

The old Arctic Monkeys would have written a song taking the piss out of the current version.

John Mclure would have, and got Alex Turner to sing it

I like the Reverend. Some of his stuff is very clever. Some is utter shite!

Completely agree.  I do not get the fuss about the polar primates at all.  No charisma, no stage presence and bland songs.  Clearly, I am missing something.

QPR want Scott Parker to play for them in the Championship:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/03/scott-parker-tottenham-qpr

Okay, he's getting on a bit and has had at least one big injury recently. But he came back at the end of the season and looked pretty damn good again. Definitely one of my favourite players; great in the tackle, ridiculous work ethic, and surprisingly creative at times too.

Could go back to West Ham if he wants to stay in London.

Parker can always fall back into acting if he doesn't get much game time. Has no less than McDonalds on his reel

Us and the Pox, so maybe a 2nd round tie is on with them, see if KMac can do what PdC couldn't.

I like this.  From 23 to 63 in 40 photos.  Fascinating.
