Is it just me, or is there a lot less tagging/graffitti around these days? I was thinking this looking out of my train window this morning. There's hardly any these days.
That reminded me of this pic. Someone (John) has far too much time on his hands. Pretty cool though. http://www.gotoast.ca/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/snailfree_450x300.jpg

I was at Waterloo when it occurred to me. Used to be covered in the stuff...but maybe it's still tag free after the Olympic spruce up? I don't know.
And while I wouldn't call Farnborough 'posh' (it's an OK place to live, but not posh) there doesn't seem to be a lot around there either.
Come off it, it is 'posh'.....

Di Canio's final line from his column on the BBC website today is classic. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20964131Before Christmas I also went to Stonehenge for the winter solstice. Swindon had just beaten Tranmere 5-0 and I waited until 4am before going there to see the sunrise.
It was raining and I didn't see anything, so I left and went straight to training. Ace.

The wider area is quite affluent, and I like living there. Everything you need within easy reach, but no way could you describe Farnborough itself as posh! You just think it is because you keep getting put up in a nice hotel on expenses. A few pics to demonstrate my point. This is Farnborough town centre. It makes the centre of Swindon look like Cabot Circus. Haha, it does look a bit 'Stevenage' to be fair...
Posh hotels my arse! The one I stayed the night of the Aldershot game (remember, the one where you abandoned me, you git) was full of squaddies.....That said, the Elvetham out by Hartley Wintney was nice (only stayed there once mind).

To be fair, very few people do their 'big ticket' shopping there. The area's a patchwork of small towns & villages which, in many cases, have coalesced...so the comparison with Swindon (big town surrounded on all sides by countryside) is probably not fair. Better analogue to the shopping centre would be somewhere like the West Swindon Centre. Camberley town centre is just 10 mins away and Guildford, Farnham and even Reading not much further away.
