Birthdays.  Today is my 40th - and has been brilliant so far, even though I'm now at work.

This must mean that our 3-3 draw at Peterborough (and Nicky Hammond's goal keeping horror show) was 20 years ago today...because I vividly remember my 20th being sullied as I watched this in the TV room at university.

Happy Birthday

A big milestone - does this sort of thing worry you?

I remember that game - how time flies!

Happy Birthday Ardiles!

Didnt Shaun Taylor get 3 in that game?  2 at the right end and 1 at the wrong?

Thank you.  Doesn't really worry me, to be honest.  The nice round number appeals to the accountant in me!

He definitely scored an own goal.  Horrific mix up between him and Hammond at the back.  Still rankles, that one...TV room was full and I (as the only Town fan present) provided most of the entertainment.

Are you really 40? I have met you (albeit ages ago) and I would have put you in the same age category as me if anything!! Happy birthday though!

Ah that game against Posh. Micky Hazard had a goal disallowed where we passed the ball from our own goalmouth. I remember ginger striker Tony Adcock scoring the leveller after Nicky Hammond turned into a 10 year old girl when trying to clear the ball.

Bizarrely, that was also on my birthday.  Hartlepool away?  We had travelled up to Newcastle for a football weekend away and you had travelled down from Edinburgh, I think.  Coldest Nov 29th on record!  By my reckonning, that was 9 years ago today.  This is turning in to a proper STFC 'On this Day...'!   Grin

Yeah it was! Good memory Ardiles! I think you had just started dating your (now) wife.

It was very cold that day, and I think we got beat as well? 0-2 I think it was?

That's the one!

That was the game thath Mike Spearman toured the away stand handing out club shop gift vouchers to the fans who made the trip as a thank you.

Edit:  And yes.  She's still with me!
