After all the TEF advice I got last year I have yet to decide to have this done. Was it bad ?

The procedure itself was OK, I suppose.  It felt a little uncomfortable despite the local anaesthetic, but it was relatively quick and the doctor really knew his stuff.  I felt quite woosy/clammy during and immediately after...but that was just me and my personal response to knowing what was going on down there.  It passed very soon afterwards.  Start to finish (incl the sit down spiel with the doc before you drop your pants) took no more than 30 mins.  The local doesn't wear off for an hour or so afterwards, so walking away wasn't a problem either.  But I was a little unsteady on my feet (see above).  Some people do, apparently, drive themselves home afterwards but, based on my own experience, I really wouldn't recommend it.

The next day, you're almost ordered to do nothing other than sit your arse all day watching DVDs...which I did, gladly.  It hurt a bit but, if I'm honest, nothing like as much as some of the stories I'd heard from others on here & elsewhere.  Painkillers and antibiotics prescribed as standard.  The incisions are tiny (maybe 3mm to 4mm each), so no stitches needed and next to no bleeding.  Just some swelling and bruising early on but, as mentioned above, that's already getting better for me after just 3 days.

I'm told the best bit is that, in theory anyway, knowing there's no risk of unwanted pregnancy leads to more sex than you had ever imagined possible.  But I'm not really there yet!

Thats to be recommended - it takes a while for the tubes to clear themselves of all the live ones so the sooner they are flushed out, the sooner you get the all clear. It took me 6 months, the wriggly little fuckers didn't want to leave
