That upload speed is twice the size of my max download speed.

My download speed is 1.75mb - be grateful

George got you sorted then Barry

Nice upload too

Yep, it's been live an hour or so! Beers

Download is 5 megs greater than George said I'd get  (although the Openreach engineer said I should get the full 40 as that's what it was showing as at the modem) and upload I get 2 megs less than George and Openreach said.

Still, the figures look good, but it truth I don't notice any difference between it and my previous 2.2mb ADSL!

You won't with bog standard surfing, it's just when you come to down and upload that you'll see the difference

Ha that reminds me I have to convert the game to dvd

That upload figure is stunning, my download is hovering around 15mb and upload under 0.5mb, very nice indeed.

I don't know who you're with (not that it makes any difference from what I was told), but BT imposes a 2mb maximum upload speed on all fibre optic connections, wholesale or not.

Most isps can remove this imposed limit (BT charge £1.50 a month to do this whether it's through them or another provider) which gives you the full upload allowance. Maybe have a word with your ISP.
