In the spirit of 'trivial things'...
Crossing the road outside Charing Cross station this morning and spotting a cyclist waiting at the lights wearing a woolly hat with the old STFC crest. I nearly gave it a raucous 'Come on You Reds!' but settled instead for a friendly greeting and a handshake.
Second only to the time about 10 years ago when I met a bloke walking down the residential street I lived on in Wimbledon wearing a Swindon top.

Always good to see into Town fans in odd places. In October I was on a flight from Gatwick to Las Vegas and randomly bumped unto a guy in a Swindon shirt.

I agree with this, I recall during the Sydney Test Match in the 06/07 Ashes Series I was having a slow wander around the ground in a hungover state when I bumped into a bloke wearing a Town shirt. We then preceeded to spend the next hour or two talking about the benefits of having Paul Evans and Curtis Weston in our central midfield.

Just read the Paolo Di Canio column in the adver.
I have a lot of man love for him.
'I hear all sorts of swearing at me during away games from the home fans but I laugh at this.
I think some of it is jealousy because their manager does not have the same name as me'

We met some Town fans walking around Busch Gardens in Tampa one year. It was around the time that Wise & Poyet went to Leeds, because they asked us if we had heard the news. Ironically the same day we were in a queue for one of the rides & a family of Ox***d fans were in the queue behind us. They tried to make polite conversation, to which my son responded something like "I don't talk to scummers". More recently, met a guy at Thorney Golf Course with a Town shirt on

coming back from the Dominican in 2007, got on the bus back to the car park in my Town shirt and the only other people to get on the bus was another family of Town fans. I went straight from the airport to the ground to watch us stuff the pikeys.

Places I have seen Swindon shirts:
- Majorca; - Rome; - Krakow.
I also once went for an interview in Liverpool and the guy interviewing me had a town badge on his tie.
We are more popular than Man Utd.
