Although a little far-fetched, Westley does have history with us, Ardilles. He applied and was interviewed when we last had a managerial vacancy I think, or perhaps it was the one before.

I feel sorry for Wilder in a way.  His legacy as the man who got you back in to the League has been tarnished, to an extent, by what came after.  To be fair to him, any manager is going to struggle to get OUFC any up the leagues until Kassam's stranglehold has been broken.  You get better crowds than most in the division, but that effect is more or less negated by the extortionate rent you have to pay...and the very obvious point that alternative sites in Oxford are non-existent, meaning you're stuck with FK for the forseeable future.

Wilder should, perhaps, have got out a little earlier.  The recent Coventry interest shows he's still marketable.

Can't disagree with that.

The thing is though, we get some of the best crowds outside the Championship, which offsets some of the impact of Kassam's stranglehold on the club via the rent payments for the ground and minimised commercial activity surrounding it. This means that Wilder still has one of the biggest budgets in the league to play with, and our current league position of 15th is clearly not what we are aiming for.

Also consider that we haven't put a really sustained run of promotion-winning form together for about 12 months (in fact, we've been quite shit during that period except for a couple of months of decent results and a bunch of derby victories), and I think the end of the season will see Wilder leave (his contract runs out) - probably a decent resolution for both parties.

There are definitely specific challenges that come with managing OUFC, as there are with any club, but there is also a lot of room to achieve.

Although the above are probably Celtic supporters it amuses me more to look at them as Yeovil fans.

Frankly that's not far off the truth. Yeovil's population is a bit like the mos eisley cantina patrons recreated in humanity.

Scottish Power. Pretty rare for an energy company to be so easy to deal with.

My fixed price deal ends in April. They emailed me today telling me what I'd used in kWh over the last twelve months along with what the new prices would be and couldn't have made things clearer, allowing me to easily do a comparison. They're £50 a year more expensive than the cheapest deal, but for the sake of their excellent service I'm going to stay with them.
