I'm not usually a fan of pre packed sushi...I'll eat it but it's never quite as good as restaurant stuff or even better homemade but...as tiny as they are...Tesco have nailed their Katsu sushi and their Edamame, Ginger and Chilli Cali rolls for flavour.

Was nicely surprised, trivially smiling. It felt good  Pint

That's the one thing I miss about London to be honest. There, you could literally get any food you wanted - I even had Eritrean one night! (fairly average) Where we live your choices are limited to the standard Kebab, Pizza, MacDonalds type shite - although there is a cracking Greek Gyros van just around the corner and an award winning Turkish restaurant. (expensive mind) Every now and then I'll have a craving for a decent burger or sushi which I could potentially get in London when I'm at work but never really fancy it. We have a decent sized tesco, so I might look out for the sushi that you suggested. We've also started using Costco in Coventry (mainly for cheap petrol) and they do Sushi, but I've no idea if it's any good or not.

Without going full MumsNet here, have you considered doing Avon?  Cheesy I'm being a twat  I wouldn't say it was great just that they got the flavours spot on...the rice still a bit hmmm. Worth leaving out for a bit to soften.

But yeah you're right and it's probably a similar thing I like about visiting nodnoL. Great to visit or short stay but I wouldn't live ''in'' London. I think your good self and Mrs Orange need to explore Brum a bit for a closer yet similar experience when it comes to food. Some cracking gems in Birmingham when it comes to food culture mate. Get yow and yer babs down Brum Town for some tasty toyyyy  Wink

Yeah had a cracking balti in Brum and also a fantastic Japanese place which we've been to twice. Not been back in a while, but we prefer going there than London now, mainly as it's easier to get to and less familiar.

Bit out your way but there's a great East Asian Quarter in Sheff. Stunning Udon special dish I took away with me when passing through a few weeks ago. Don't worry, I didn't have the shits   Eat

RE familiarity...oh I get it, gotta watch your back with all those heavies watching you in London. That's what happens when you mess around with people's hedgefunds BO, I told you this would happen  Cheesy

I mean general rubbish and recycling

'you don't need it fortnightly if you recycle food'

mind you, the recycling collection has been shit the last couple of months so good knows what this is going to be like

They could probably go monthly on the general waste but as you say the service over recent weeks has been poor anyway.
Something else to get in the way in the kitchen🤣
