Luca Brecel. I find myself absolutely glued to the snooker, which I haven't been for a long time.

Same, both semi finals were fantastic viewing and Brecel seems a decent chap, he’s looking good for the win at the moment.

Not very nice, but these sort of things do make me smile.

I have an order for English sausages and Wiltshire Cured Bacon arriving later today.

I'm all for embracing the local cuisine of the Country you move to (the BBQ, Chickem and Steaks are amazing), but there are a few home comforts that are hard to shake off, so when they can be sourced, it is a real treat.

Yes, proper English Back Bacon.  The American stuff has it's place, just not in a roll or sandwich.

American bacon... pancakes or bust!

American sausages... hot dogs only.

Smoked Bratwurst style sausages, then grilled on a BBQ with onions, ketchup and mustard, maybe some Chili.  Much like England, the USA adopts and plays with other cultures food, it also has a much bigger restaurant culture ranging from run of the mill chains to fantastic independents and classy Michelin starred places.  City vs Rural being quite different as well.

There is a Petrol Station chain that has massive shops (and hundreds of pumps), Buc-ee's.  I mean, it's cheesy as hell, proper American, but does some damned good Brisket rolls.

One of life's great joys is stopping at a monolithic 'gas station' in the arse end of nowhere.

I'm at I think 47 states ticked off (Hawaii, Alaska and Maine to go!). Love the place.

The middle is where it is at its best for me. Give me a night out in Lincoln, Nebraska or Tulsa, Oklahoma over NYC or LA every time.
