On a slightly more cheerful note... Smash Hits, early 80's

Not often we get a managerial candidate popping up in one of these  Wink.

FWIW a little bit early for me, albeit as I got older I quite liked Clare Grogan.

With World Cup fever gripping the English the FA Cup 2nd is getting very little interest!

First & Second rounds tend to be a bit dull though don’t they.

Whilst you might still get some minnows vs ‘giants’ they are going to be small giants with little appeal to the masses.

Once the bigger teams come in - interest ramps up because the potential is there for proper minnows can giants

I must admit I wondered this morning why we didn't have a game tomorrow, which shows how much interest I am taking in it.

Another problem with a mid season WC.

I saw Adam in Brum last year and he didnt look anything like as rough as those pics, he was very fit and looked like he had been working out and nothing at all like that.

I'm guessing he let himself go for a few years then decided to change things especially if he was on tour as fitness would be key to his performance.

I remember a few years back them finding a bomb in Chippenham when they were building the new school and lots of people being evacuated to the sports centre while they were trying to remove it.
I think the problem then was it had landed nose first so it was difficult to extract.
Looks like its more than 20 bombs they have found now.

If there's that many I presume they are British explosives rather than a cluster dropped by the Germans.
