I think he seriously misjudged the jovial remark about the Swindon women's team. Yes it was probably in the best intentions and light-hearted but as an employee of STFC I don't think he should have said what he said about watching paint dry rather than going to watch the women's team.
I did not find this personally insulting, or amusing really but I think as someone that fans of STFC look up to, he needs to be more professional. Boring it may be, but I think probably best he comes off of Twitter.

I would concur that him coming off is best for all, I don't think picking a fight with the fan bases most irritating troll was going to end well neither. Good footballer but seems a rather peculiar and naive character.
