Expectation is a millstone I suppose. They were in the playoffs last season, hence expectation is to kick on this season. We didn't suffer this thanks to a massive squad overhaul.
What the Brentford fans forgot is a good season doesn't guarantee a second good season. And that they are fucking Brentford, not Real Madrid.

I disagree. The Brentford Hype at the start of the season was barely credible. Everybody...their fans, and everybody else's...seemed to accept almost unquestioningly that Brentford had a Championship slot booked for 2014/15. So far, it hasn't worked out that way. Time still on their side, but let's enjoy it while plans don't unfold in the way they want them to. Boxing Day could be fun. |
