It a half assed bodged effort from Ecclestone and the BBC. The BBC should just give it up and not bother if they can't afford it. 1/2 a season is a joke. |

Toys-R-Useless. It's the school summer holidays, so this afternoon they had 1 poxy till open with around 10 people queuing, nobody on customer services and 1 extremely sweaty chap running around on the shop floor. We waited 20 mins for someone to assist us with bikes and then gave up. They're always understaffed in there, which makes it more stressful.

To be fair, its better than nothing. I love F1 and can't justify paying for sky (little Shears needs nappies and Lady Shears likes a handbag or two). With the highlights for the races it doesn't have the BBC will still be showing the whole season in a sense. Compared to it all going to Sky, this is preferable. Of course, give it a few more years and I wouldn't be surprised that full rights to Sky is the next step. But for now - I'm relatively happy. |

We'll have to disagree there Billy. In my opinion BBC may as well have just given up on live coverage. Doing half the season is pointless.
Unfortunately they/Bernie have come up with this bodged solution to satisfy the FTA clause in the concord agreement with FOTA. Maybe this really was the only way the BBC could afford it (which is another argument). But had they (Bernie) really investigated talking to C4/C5 or reducing BBC's costs ? Doubt it.
I say this as a Sky Sports subscriber.

It doesn't matter when you go in there, they're always understaffed particularly at the tills. If you want to buy a Wii etc then they'll pounce on you but the tills are always shite. Even before x mas I've never seen more than 2 tills open. |

My best mate of 20+ years works on the bike section there. Although he does the building rather than the selling - but he is a sweaty chap! although the running bit doesn't sound like him! The till operator was probably the slow girl everyone takes the piss out of! By all accounts the manager there is a bit of a dick - but then I dont work there, just know most of the people who do.... |
